Setting the watch
Screwed position (position 0)
The crown is fully screwed down against the case. When the crown is in this position, the watch is guaranteed water resistant to a depth of 50 meters.
Manual winding (position 1)
Turn the crown clockwise; turning it the other way has no effect.
When setting the watch for the first time or after the watch has stopped, a minimum of 25 turns is required for partial winding. When setting the watch for the first time or after the watch has stopped, a minimum of 25 turns is required for partial winding.
Date setting (position 2)
The crown is unscrewed and pulled out to the first notch.
To set the date, turn the crown clockwise or counterclockwise depending on the model. Turning it in the opposite direction manually winds the watch.
During this operation, the watch continues to run.
Time setting (position 3)
The crown is unscrewed and pulled out to the second notch. The seconds hand is stopped, allowing you to set the time to the nearest second.
To set the hour and minutes, turn the crown in either direction.
To avoid confusion between morning and afternoon, move the hour hand to 12 o'clock. If the date changes, it is midnight.
After each use, carefully screw the crown back against the case to ensure water resistance. Return the crown to position 1 and apply light pressure while screwing downwards clockwise against the case. The crown should never be unscrewed underwater.
Setting an automatic watch
1. Initial reassembly
If the watch is stopped, wind it manually by turning the crown clockwise for approximately 30 complete turns.
2. Setting the date
Before setting the date, make sure the hour hand is not positioned between 10:00 and 14:00, as this could interfere with the date change mechanism. If it is within this time range, advance the time until it is outside this range before setting the date. Once this is verified, pull the crown out to the first position (usually pull the crown to the first peak) and turn it clockwise until the date displayed is today's date.
3. Setting the time
Pull the crown out to the second position (usually pull the crown out completely) and turn it clockwise to set the correct time. Make sure to set the time according to the time of day (AM or PM) for correct time reading.
4. Crown adjustment
Once you have set the time and date, push the crown firmly against the watch case and make sure it is pushed in and screwed down securely to ensure water resistance and protection of the internal mechanism.
